Truck Toll on the A24

Trucks: Separate agreement required for paying the truck toll on the A24

As of 1 July 2026, the Netherlands will introduce truck toll  (distance-based charge). Do you own a truck and do you pay toll automatically with MOVE‑IZI?

In that case, you must conclude a separate agreement to pay the truck toll.

The truck toll in the Netherlands applies to Dutch and foreign owners of trucks in categories N2 and N3 with a technically maximum mass of more than 3,500 kg. Truck owners must pay an amount per kilometre driven. This applies to almost all motorways and to some provincial and municipal roads.

On the A24, only e‑TOL is payable; no truck toll applies there.

On‑Board Unit (OBU)

To collect the truck toll, a valid On‑Board Unit (OBU) is mandatory in every truck.
The OBU cannot be used to pay e‑TOL for the A24/ Blankenburg Connection.

You can obtain an OBU by concluding a contract with a truck toll service provider. MOVE‑IZI advises all customers with trucks to arrange this in good time.

Do you pay e‑TOL via MOVE‑IZI?

Then you must conclude a separate agreement for the truck toll with a truck toll service provider. This can be done, for example, via Nedlinq if you only pay the truck toll in the Netherlands.
With an agreement with one of the six EETS truck toll providers, you can pay truck toll throughout Europe.

Do you not yet pay e‑TOL automatically via MOVE‑IZI?

Then register with MOVE‑IZI to pay automatically and explore a service provider for the truck toll.

Paying e-TOL via a service provider for the truck toll

It is currently not possible to pay e-TOL via a service provider for the truck toll, but (EETS) service providers for the truck toll are required to offer this within 2 years. Please consult the truck toll website for up-to-date information.
